Now celebrating our 100th year!
Built in 1909 by mayor U.S. Martin, today the Shepherdstown Opera House is dedicated to showing the best of foreign and American independent films on the silver screen and presenting fine musical entertainment in an intimate and friendly music hall. In continuing our 15-year tradition, these movies are the award winning, critically acclaimed films you can't see anywhere else in the area.
So come for a day (or a weekend), enjoy Shepherdstown's small town historical atmosphere, but don't forget to stop and enjoy a film. If it's good, you'll see and hear it at the Opera House!
