Melissa Rogers is a multimedia specialist who lives and works in Washington, DC specializing in shortform documentary production and nonprofit communication strategies. She enjoys collaboration, social justice, birds, immersive online UX experiences, and solar panels.
In 2012, she received her MFA in Media Arts from Emerson College in Boston, MA and in 2009 completed her BFA in Photography/Computer Digital Imagery with a Graphic Design minor at Shepherd University in Shepherdstown, WV.
Her proficiency in image-making is rooted in non-fiction storytelling with a strong foundation in black and white and color darkroom techniques, color theory, photojournalism, and performance photography. Her interests in moving-image making include cinematography and video editing, After Effects motion graphics, color correction, and project/production management.
